The Mauritius Institute of Education (MIE) participated in the Training and Career Guidance Expo 2025 on March 6th and 7th, organized by the Commission for Vocational Training at the Antoinette Prudence Human Resource Development Centre, Malabar.

The MIE was represented by Dr. Oogarah-Pratap and Mr. Dhunnoo who engaged with prospective teachers, high school students and in-service teachers, offering insights into the institute’s pre-service and in-service teacher training programmes. MIE representatives also addressed questions about employment prospects and career paths in the education sector, emphasizing the growing demand for qualified teachers.

The expo served as an important platform for the MIE to connect with the community, raising awareness of the crucial role of the MIE in the professional development of cadres in the education sector to meet the needs of the evolving educational landscape.
